Rolls-Royce Cybersecurity Technology Research Network
Rolls-Royce has partnered with Purdue University and Carnegie Mellon University, two preeminent academic institutions who have long been at the forefront of research for cyber and cyber-physical security, to create the Rolls-Royce Cybersecurity Technology Research Network. This research network will keep Rolls-Royce at the cutting-edge of product cybersecurity. Purdue and Carnegie Mellon are expected to total four to six projects per year funded by Rolls-Royce. One major emphasis will be improving efforts in the development of Artificial Intelligence. AI is one of the most effective methods to detect undesired or anomalous behaviors within systems. However, traditional AI requires significant computing resources. This new research is focused on developing AI approaches that can be utilized in resource-constrained embedded systems that are prevalent in many of our products.
