Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet)
The Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) is an agency of the Norwegian Government responsible for managing the Personal Data Act 2000, concerning privacy concerns. The authority is based in Oslo, and is an independent administrative body under the Ministry of Government Administration and Reform. It is the national data protection authority for Norway. The Norwegian Data Protection Authority has developed guidelines to help organisations understand and comply with the requirement of data protection by design and by default in article 25 of the General Data Protection Regulation. We have among others cooperated with security professionals and software developers in public and private sector to create the guidelines.
