The NCC’s mandate is to keep Canada’s cyber and critical infrastructures and citizens safe while ensuring Canada’s global competitiveness and leadership in cybersecurity. It aims to link Canada’s cybersecurity and privacy training, innovation and commercialization capacities within a national consortium to harness a network effect that will significantly advance innovation and talent development and increase cybersecurity-related economic activity in Canada. The NCC takes a cross-sectorial approach with interest in all Canadian critical infrastructure sectors and builds capacity throughout the entire economic ecosystem.
