Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ)

The Government Communications Headquarters is a British intelligence and security organisation responsible for providing signals intelligence and information assurance to the British government and armed forces.

Using our expertise and experience GCHQ is part of the team which protects the UK, along with law enforcement and the other intelligence agencies.  Working with HMG and industry, we defend Government systems from cyber threat, provide support to the Armed Forces and strive to keep the public safe, in real life and online.

The UK's cyber security mission is led by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), which is a part of GCHQ.
