Dutch Research Council (NWO)

The Dutch Research Council (NWO) is one of the most important science-funding bodies in the Netherlands and ensures quality and innovation in science.

The Dutch Research Agenda thematic programme “Cybersecurity - towards a safe and reliable digital domain” is aimed at research and implementation projects around cybersecurity and governance and cybersecurity, governance and cryptology. By focusing on governance research and specific research for safe and reliable data sharing both now and in the future, an effort is made to realise the sustainable use of cybersecurity.

The programme contributes to the objective of the Dutch Digitalisation Strategy, in which the Netherlands assumes a strong international position in the increasingly digitalising world and, in doing so, continues to monitor inclusivity, security and the protection of privacy.
