UK’s Home Secretary named Internet Villain
Theresa May, the UK Home Secretary and the internet's greatest enemy, apparently.
Home Secretary Theresa May has been crowned Internet Villain of the year by one of the UK's biggest Internet lobbying groups.
The Internet Service Providers Association - which represents the likes of Sky, Microsoft, Google and Virgin Media - named the MP at their annual ISPA Awards, held in the City of London.

May received the award for going ahead with communications data legislation without fully consulting the industry.
"With an Investigatory Powers Bill due before parliament in the coming months, it is essential that ISPs are consulted," the ISPA said.
May was not available to collect the award - unsurprisingly - so Privacy International picked up the award on her behalf.
The Home Secretary beat ex-MP (and former chair of the Intelligence and Security Committee) Sir Malcolm Rifkind to the title.
Meanwhile, MPs David Davis and Tom Watson won the Internet Hero award for their legal challenge to guarantee the privacy of their constituents.
