Cyber security is currently a very hot topic in India. With the country's 751.5 million Internet users, along with recent high-profile cyber attacks, the need for strong cyber security measures has become very important. 

However, similar to many other countries, the state of cyber security in India is not as strong as it could be. A lack of awareness and knowledge about cyber threats amongst both individuals and businesses continues to be a major issue.

Additionally, there are often insufficient resources available to properly address the current cyber security concerns. Despite these challenges, there are some very positive cyber security trends emerging in India.

The Indian government is increasing its focus on these issue in recent years, and there are a growing number of private sector initiatives aimed at improving cyber security awareness and practices. The Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER) revealed that India is now the 3rd largest digitalised economy in the G20 nations.

The past decade has seen the country double down on digital, with government programs and innovative startups transforming everyday lives and bringing a whole new world of convenience to our fingertips. To keep pace with this digital-everything paradigm, Indian enterprises are evolving too.

Currently, 69% of organisations in India can be called digital businesses that are investing in new technologies to meet consumer expectations and changing market demands.
