Demand For Indian Cybersecurity Skills Rising Fast
After the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) law has been implemented in the Europe, companies in India are fast shifting their focus towards data protection.
As a result, the demand for cyber security and data protection professional as per a survey conducted by the online job portal Indeed has gone up drastically by a huge 150% and 143% during the period between January 2017 and March 2018.
The IT hub Bengaluru alone accounts for 36% jobs into cybersecurity of all the jobs thrown open in the sector. Additionally, the online portal puts into reference the increase in cybercrime which has pushed the demand for professionals in the sector higher.
And as per a cyber-crime report, the demand is only going to triple with the increasing cyber-crime threat to which companies all across are exposed to in the next five years-time.
Other locations that offer opportunities to professionals in the area include Mumbai, NCR, Pune and Hyderabad.
Companies mainly in the mid-size category are fast gearing to comply with the GDPR law and e-Privacy issues. And as far as demographic age is concerned, the company in its survey revealed that people in the age group of 26-30 years and 41-45 years are showing interest in the field.
