Despite the economic fallout of COVID-19, digital transformation remains a pressing priority for organizations as companies increasingly turn to technology to protect against potential business disruption caused by cyber-attacks, and to secure systems against the huge rise in remote working.

The technology sector is responding to these needs in key areas including cybersecurity, fintech, cloud, managed services, AI and enterprise software. Technology focused investment is a key growth area, both in new tech startups and in seeking out M&A opportunities.

Plurilock is acquiring Aurora Systems Consulting, a US-based cybersecurity solutions provider, to extend the reach of its behavioral biometrics and continuous authentication technologies in the USA. (March 2021)

Relay Medical completes acquisition of IoT Cybersecurity Firm, Cybeats Technologies. (March 2021)

VMware will acquire Sunnyvale, California-based API security company Mesh7. (March 2021)

Alacrinet Consulting Services acquires cybersecurity research firm Chamber's Key Cybersecurity and launches Alacrinet Security Labs. (March 2021)

Fortinet, the enterprise security firm, has acquired ShieldX, a cloud and network security startup based in San Jose, California. (March 2021)
